Hattie B. Woods, 91, of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia. She was born on December 18, 1930 in Lovingston, Virginia to the late Junius and Eva (Hart) Woods. She retired from Waynesboro Community Hospital with 42 years of service and was a lifetime member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was a member of the flower club. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Ms. Hattie leaves to cherish her memories, five sons, Earl Woods (Ella) of Waynesboro, Virginia, Carl Woods (Min. Alice) of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, Eric Woods of Waynesboro, Virginia, Jeff Woods (Donna) of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Min. Bryon Woods (Lynn Martin) of Waynesboro, Virginia; one sister, Lucille Cauls of Staunton, Virginia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three special nephews, Bill Awkard, Stacey Jones and William Sims; very special friends, Yvonne Mitchell, Pansy Wilmott, Vivian Howard, Edgar Dean and August Carter; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a loved person by all and had an infectious smile. She enjoyed when people would stop by to visit with her and yards sales. She especially loved when her five sons would visit all at the same time and loved her grandchildren, A funeral service will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with viewing one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
