Ray W. Wolfe
Ray William Wolfe, 77, of Purgitsville, W.Va., died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Wolfe was born June 5, 1927, in Greenland, W.Va., and was a son of the late Ralph William Wolfe and Mary Ann McCarty Wolfe.
He retired from the Keller Plumbing & Heating Company in Washington, D.C., and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a life member of the Potomac Highlands Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6454 and a member of the American Legion Post 78 of Petersburg, W.Va.
Mr. Wolfe was a member of the Baptist Church in Old Fields, W.Va.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Yant K. (Lo) Wolfe, whom he married April 7, 1971; a sister, Pauline Kochanski of Scranton, Pa.; a brother, Darl E. Wolfe of South Jordan, Utah, and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Daniel Howard will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at the Lahmansville Cemetery in Lahmansville, W.Va., with military honors by the combined veterans organizations of Grant County and the JROTC.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home.
