We are sad to announce the passing ofAnne Harvey (Wrenn) Whitmire, of Weyers Cave. She died at age 88 on Saturday,
September 16, 2023. She was born on February 25, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Hammond Ashby (H.A.) Wrenn
Jr. and Margaret (Maw) Wrenn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hammond (Hammie)Ashby Wrenn, III and brother-
in-law, Edwin (Eddie) Beahm. She was also preceded in death by Big Mike Whitmire.
Anne was an active member of Weyers Cave United Methodist Church. She was a busy member of the Red Hat Society
for many years and loved her Weyers Cave hometown and family with her whole heart.
She is survived by three sons, Douglas H. Wrenn, Alan E. Whitmire and wife, Lisa Whitmire, and Michael (Mikey) W.
Whitmire; one brother, Charles (Doodie) Wrenn and wife, MaryAnne Wrenn; one sister, Nancy Beahm; one sister-in-law,
Barbara Wrenn; seven grandchildren, Douglas Wrenn, II and wife, Melody, JennaRose Mapstone and husband, Jared,
Brittany Whitmire, Thomas Whitmire and wife, Kaleigh, Zackary Whitmire, Avery Whitmire, and Britton Whitmire; eight
great grandchildren, J. Harvey and Stella Wrenn, Harrison, Wrenn and Matthias Mapstone, Sailor Whitmire, Grayson
Whitmire Lawrence, and Elowen Whitmire; three great nieces,
Corrie Wrenn, Jayme Wrenn Reed, and Feame Wrenn, as well as many more great-great nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Funeral arrangements will be announced and held at a future date.
Rest now Mom, Mountain Grandma, Grandma, Aunt Anne, Harv and all the names we knew her by and don’t “boogie” to
hard up there in heaven.
