DeniseAnne Whitley Whitman, 80, a resident of Harrisonburg passed away on Mondy, October 23, 2023 at her home.
She was born on November 13, 1942 in Mitchell, SD and was the daughter of the late Darrell W. and Doris L.
Bidleman Kinzley.
Denise was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a transcriptionist for Harrisonburg Medical
Associates before retiring.
On December 21, 1961, she married Dr. Richard F. Whitman, Jr., who preceded her in death on November 11, 2006.
She was supportive of her husband’s career throughout their married life. She is survived by a daughter, Andrea Ray
and husband, Steve of Harrisonburg; her grandchildren, Amanda Ray and husband, Eric Fehlinger of Alexandria, Zoe
Manoukian of Richmond and Lily Manoukian of Athens, OH; a son-in-law, Mark Manoukian of Upper Arlington, OH.
A daughter, Alyson Manoukian and a sister, Diane Kinzley also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be private at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
