Donald E. Wease

Donald E. Wease, 52, of 507½ W. Market St., Harrisonburg, died Monday, June 17, 2002, in Staunton.

Mr. Wease was born April 30, 1950, in Ronceverte, W.Va., and was the son of Robert E. Wease of Staunton and the late Betty C. Wease.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Naples, Italy, from December 1970 until 1972. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for maintaining a high level of excellence in performing his duties at NAF Naples.

Mr. Wease was a member of Third Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder. He was a member of the Staunton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2216.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters, Lori Wease and Kristi Wease, both of Staunton; a sister, Polly W. Faircloth of Staunton; a niece and a nephew.

The Revs. Jack B. Wilkers and Woodward D. Morriss Jr. will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at Third Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens with graveside rites by the Staunton VFW Post No. 2216.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 this evening at the Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
