Bonnie Sue Knight Warner, 77, formerly of Broadway, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Belle
Aire at Stone Point.
Mrs. Warner was born on April 30, 1946 in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of the late Charles Edward
and Nellie Louise Kibler Knight Sr. She worked alongside her husband on their cattle farm, was a homemaker
and enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.
She was married to William Boyd “Bootie” Warner II who preceded her in death on October 21, 2016.
Surviving are her children, Connie Ryan and husband Ross of Broadway, William Boyd Warner III and
wife Cynthia of Mt. Sidney; sister, Betty Lou Sampson and husband Richard of Harrisonburg; sisters-in-law,
Wilda Knight of Harrisonburg, Barbara Knight of Bridgewater; and grandchildren, Makenzie Warner and
Hunter Lee Warner.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Warner was preceded in death by three brothers, Nelson
“Eddie” Knight, John Wayne Knight, and Charles Edward “Poochie” Knight Jr.
Clayton Justice and Pastor Rob Nykamp will conduct a memorial service on Thursday, November 2, 2023
at 2 p.m. at Fairview Church of the Brethren-Endless Caverns. The family will receive friends following the
service. Burial will be held privately.
Those wishing to sign the register book may do so on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 6
p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home. The casket will remain closed.
