Dolly A. Ward

Dolly Ann Floyd Ward, 70, of 9710 Rockfish Valley Highway, Afton, passed away early Thursday morning, May 26, 2005, at Augusta Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Nelson County the daughter of the late Charles William and Clara Henderson Floyd.

Mrs. Ward was retired from Acme Visible Records. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Dewey Ward on Nov. 16, 2000, two brothers, Herbert Lewis Floyd and John William Floyd, and one sister, Nellie Lee Critzer.

Survivors include one son, Clyde Michael Ward and his wife, April, of Stuarts Draft; three daughters, Tammy W. Ramsey and her husband, Jerry, of Afton, Lynn W. Lowry and her husband, Pete, of Waynesboro, Donna W. Self and her husband, Steve, of Grottoes; one brother, Jerry David Floyd of Waynesboro; one sister, Mary Louise Anderson of Afton; grandchildren, Holly Beth Roberts, Brandon Craig Harris and his wife, Jami, Sgt. Jennifer Leigh Ramsey, Brooke Lynn Ramsey, Petty Officer Christopher Ray Martin and his wife, Jessica, Jeremy Dale Martin, Christopher Allen Lowry, Wendy L. Wiekert and her husband, Kevin, Angela L. Conner and her husband, Chuck, Jennifer Brooke Critzer, Jessica Renee Critzer, Rachel Lauren Self, P.J. Walters and John "Brady" Ward and great-grandchildren, Ryan William Banton, Logan Matthew Johnson, Amber Nicole Critzer, one to be born in September and one to be born in October.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2005, at the Ward Family Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockfish Valley Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 11100 Rockfish Valley Highway, Afton, VA 22920.
