Garland L. Walker, 76


Garland LeRoy Walker, 76, of Timberville, died Monday, April 10, 2006, in Timberville.

Mr. Walker was born March 5, 1930, in Mathias, W.Va., and was a son of the late Ernest and Rhoda May Fink Walker.

He was employed at Rockingham Poultry before retiring and was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Timberville.

His wife, Pauline Virginia Wilson Walker, preceded him in death May 9, 1995.

Survivors include four sons, Erwin S. and John W. Walker, both of Timberville, David J. Walker of Harrisonburg and LeRoy R. Walker of Broadway; two daughters, Virginia M. Walker of Timberville and Betty A. Pifer of Franklin, W.Va.; a brother, Web Walker of Timberville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pastor Anil Daniel Solanki will conduct a graveside service 2 p.m. Friday at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ Cemetery.
