Mary F. Tusing

Mary Frances Tusing, 80, of First Street, Timberville, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Tusing was born May 24, 1922, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Isaac "Ike" and Grace Biller Pence.

She was employed at Rockingham Poultry for 30 years before retiring. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Timberville.

On July 27, 1940, she married Calvin L. Tusing, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1995.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy T. Fahrney of Timberville; two sons, Carl Tusing of New Market, and Stephen Tusing of Richmond; two brothers, Stanley Pence of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Jim Pence of Mount Jackson; three sisters, Treva Mitchell of Harrisonburg, Faye Miller of Timberville, and Joyce Mongold of Harrisonburg; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pastor Don Smith will conduct a memorial service 2 p.m. Friday at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway, where the family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be at the St. Luke’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Timberville.
