Wayne Harris Thompson, 74, widower of Tana Lee Thompson, of Churchville, passed away on Saturday, September 30,
2023 in Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.
Mr. Thompson was born in New Hampshire on January 14, 1949, a son of the late Sherm John and Jenette (Cheney)
Thompson.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Thompson and Carl
“Bruce” Thompson; and three sisters, Darlene Johnson, Janice Hudson, and LorraineArehart.
Surviving is his daughter, Kelly Michele Thompson; a son, Brian Wayne Thompson; a granddaughter, Dylynn Lee
Thompson; a step- granddaughter, Lauren Grace Carter; and a brother, Aron Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home
and Crematory.
Acelebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor
Greg Culpen.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Lynnie Townsend, Chad Townsend, Walter “Whimpy” Bryant, III, Aron Matthew Bryant, Travis
Cash, and Preston Woods.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is handling his arrangements.
