Melvin E. Teets

Melvin Eugene Teets, 76, of Mathias, W.Va., died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

He was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Mathias, W.Va., and was the son of the late John G. Teets and Millie A. Funkhouser Teets.

Mr. Teets was a retired machinist at Walker Manufacturing and a poultry grower. He belonged to Salem Mennonite Church in Lost City, W.Va.

On July 20, 1950, he married Vivian M. Combs, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Rodney Leon Teets of Mathias, W.Va.; one daughter, Peggy L. Fry of Staunton; one sister, Mabel Albright of Bonnesboro, Md.; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Pastors Ortho Horst and Arlan Schrock will conduct the funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday at the McKee Funeral Home Chapel in Baker, W.Va. Burial will be at Salem Mennonite Cemetery in Baker, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8 at the McKee Funeral Home.
