Loyd Lynwood Swecker, 94, of Bridgewater, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home.
He was born on April 4, 1929 and was a son of Georgie (Swecker) Taylor.
Loyd had retired on Coke-Cola, and was a avid Nascar fan.
Loyd is survived by two daughters, Anna Marie Jones and husband, R. Michael, of Rural Retreat, and Kathy Starick of
Harrisonburg; four grandchildren, R. Michael Jones, Brandon Jones, Pamela Smith, and Lacy Stajduhar; nine great-
grandchildren; cousin, Kaye Swecker; niece, Stacey; caregiver, Tammie Myers; special friends, Larry and Bobby Whetzel and
Taylor Whetzel.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Boyd Swecker, Sam Taylor, Jr., and David Ellis Taylor.
Agraveside service celebrating Loyd's life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Beaver Creek Church
Cemetery, with David Kite officiating.
