John T. Springston

John Taylor Springston, 38, of Harrisonburg, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at his residence.

He was born June 6, 1964, in Washington, D.C., a son of William Carden Springston and Betty Carter Retterer.

Mr. Springston is survived by his father, Bill C. Springston; his stepmother, Alice Lilly Springston; one brother and two step-brothers, Stephen and Jean Springston of Long Island, N.Y., Randy Lilly and George and Amy Lilly, all of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Caroline and David Johnston of Charlotte, N.C., and Ann Springston and Sam Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C.; and six nieces and nephews, Kaitlin and Haley Springston, Katie and Conner Johnston, Joshua Johnson, and Ivy Lilly.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William Painter officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
