Harry James “Jimmy” Snyder ("Pop") passed away on Saturday, October 14th. Jimmy was born in 1934 in
Churchville, Virginia to Roy Snyder and Hazel Staton. He graduated from Wilson Memorial High School and retired
from DuPont after 35 years of service.
Jimmy will always be remembered for his servant’s heart and love for his family, friends, and church. He was a
devoted husband to his surviving dedicated wife of 67 years, Bonnie ("Mimi"). He was a strong Christian who read
God’s Word daily and was active in church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roy Snyder Jr., Frances Braden, and Catherine
Shaw. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Chandler. He is also survived by his son, Danny Snyder (& Debbie), and
his daughter Rita Colvin (& Gary). He has been an active part and awesome role model for his 5 grandsons, James
Snyder (& Ashley), Josh Colvin (& Tabitha), Phillip Snyder (& Macayla), Joe Colvin (& Allicia), and Jake Colvin (&
Jenna), along with his 11 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his sidekick Sadie
(pet dog).
The family invites you to join them in a memorial service on Saturday, October 21st @ 10 a.m. @ Linden Heights
Baptist Church. Burial will immediately follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, James, Josh, Phillip, Joe, Jake, and great-grandson, Devon. Honorary pallbearers will
be the Men's Brotherhood of Linden Heights Baptist Church.
