Margaret L. Shumaker

Margaret Lucille Fulk Shumaker, 82, of Oakwood Drive, Harrisonburg, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Shumaker was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Fulks Run, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Gertrude Turner Fulk.

She lived in Fairfax County for 50 years before returning to White Birch Estates in Harrisonburg in 1998. She was employed at Fairfax Day Care Center in Fairfax, and was a member of Mount Grove Church of the Brethren in Fulks Run.

On July 11, 1940, she married Lawrence H. Shumaker, who preceded her in death Jan. 16, 1979.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Max Fisher will conduct a graveside service 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mount Grove Cemetery in Fulks Run.
