Charlotte Belle Showman, 94, of Mount Jackson, passed away, Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Consulate Health Care
in Woodstock. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Woods Chapel Church in New
Market. Pastor Glen Turner and Glen Early will officiate. Burial will follow in Hudson Crossroads Cemetery.
Mrs. Showman was born October 11, 1927, in Hardy County, WV, daughter of the late Roy Lee Shipe and Zella
Vanfletta Dove Shipe. She was retired from Blue Bell. She was a member of Woods Chapel Independent Bible
Church and attended Mt. Clifton for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Showman; son,
Harry “Frank” Showman; 2 grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Curry of Mt. Jackson, Wanda Hinegardner, Gary “Butch” Showman, Kenneth
Showman and Cletus Showman all of Timberville and Keith Showman of Mt. Jackson; 16 grandchildren, 25 great
grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Preston Sizemore, Tyler Showman, Joey Martin, Dylan Showman, Matthew Showman, Bobby
Hofacker, Rick Funkhouser and Chris Showman.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg.
