Caudy J. Shoemaker

Caudy Junior Shoemaker, 76, of Moorefield, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Shoemaker was born Jan. 6, 1927, in Moorefield, W.Va., and was the son of the late Caudy L. and Mary E. Cunningham Shoemaker.

He attended the Old Fields Baptist Church and retired from American Woodmark Corporation after 33 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Kesner Shoemaker; two stepsons, Ralph Vance of Maysville, W.Va., and Phillip Vance of Scherr, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Yvonne Black of Petersburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Jean Gaughan of Reading, Pa., and Nettie Evans of Moorefield, W.Va.; five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Pastor Dan Howard will conduct the funeral 1 p.m. Saturday at the Old Fields Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
