Linda Kay Shifflett, 65, a resident of Lyndhurst, VA, passed away Friday morning, March 3, 2023 at the University of
Virginia Medical Center.
She was born June 12, 1957 in Waynesboro, VA, a daughter of the late Elmer Silas Shifflett and Geraldine (Patterson)
Shifflett.
Surviving are her brother, Gary E. Shifflett and wife Pamela; her nephew, Geoffrey Shifflett and wife Melanie; nieces,
Holly Hall and husband Brett, Courtney Nedimyer and husband Andrew; 11 great-nieces and nephews; sister, Deborah
Peters and husband Forrest; Linda’s nephew, Bryan Peters and wife Lori (their son, Christopher); and her niece, Erin
Brooks and husband Ashby.
She was employed by Fisher Auto Parts in Staunton, VA.
Linda held a special place in her heart for animals. It would make her very happy if, instead of sending flowers,
memorial contributions were made in her name to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home,
officiated by John McChesney. Family and friends are invited to a reception in Spring Hall of Tinkling Spring
Presbyterian Church, afterwards.
