Elizabeth E. Shifflett

Elizabeth Ellen Heatwole Shifflett, 70, of Harrisonburg, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Shifflett was born Jan. 24, 1935, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Isaac and Mae K. Berry Heatwole.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Raf Ellis Shifflett, preceded her in death July 27, 1975.

She is survived by a son, Randall Shifflett of Harrisonburg; three daughters, Barbara Jean Landes of Harrisonburg, Darlene Kay Hedrick of Mount Crawford, and Melinda Wooddell of Verona; a brother, Marvin Beech of Broadway; a sister, Rosie Campheart of Harrisonburg; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. James Joyner will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater. Burial will follow at the Rawley Springs Mennonite Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 this evening at the funeral home.
