Alberto Santibañez, 65, of Harrisonburg, peacefully passed away surrounded by his wife and children the morning of Monday,
October 23, 2023. Alberto was born on January 14, 1958, in Michoacán, San Lucas, Mexico, and was the son to Joaquin
Santibañez Mondragon and CatalinaAlvarado.
Alberto is survived by his wife, Silvia Santibañez Mujica and their three sons, Alberto Jr, Liborio, and Pablo Santibañez.
Additionally, Alberto is survived by his daughter’s Lorena and Dalia, son Raymundo, several grandchildren, siblings, nieces and
nephews. Alberto is preceded in death by his parents and other loved ones.
Alberto was a hard working man and worked day in and day out to provide for his family and worked at multiple poultry plants
over the years. He made sure his family was never in need of anything and made sure everyone was taken care of. In his spare
time, Alberto enjoyed fishing, gardening, and had a deep appreciation for nature. He loved cooking delicious and
flavorful meals for his family and also liked to make his family laugh with his goofiness and jokes. He was always giving with
asking nothing in return and had a big impact on his family and friends around him. His hard work will never be forgotten.
Apublic viewing will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Kyger Funeral Home and the family will be receiving
visitors from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to bring flowers and/or make a donation to Alberto’s family via
gofundme https://gofund.me/02479917. Rev. Armando Herrera will lead the funeral ceremony on Friday, November 3, 2023, at
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Aburial will follow after the mass at Rest Haven Cemetery.
