Dorothy H. Price

Dorothy Hoover Price, age 75, of New Market, died in a Fairfax hospital on Jan. 12, 2004. She was the widow of Jack C. Price.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens by Dr. Steve Proctor.

Mrs. Price was born April 23, 1928, in Woodstock, Va. She was the daughter of the late Joseph R. Sr. and Dorothy Koontz Hoover.

She was a member of the American Legion Post No. 199 in Woodstock and of the Manor United Methodist Church in New Market.

Mrs. Price is survived by a daughter, Judy S. Ambrose and her husband, Richard, of New Market; a brother, Joseph R. Hoover Jr. and his wife, Becky, of Toms Brook; two grandchildren, Sarah Ambrose and friend, Preston Henderson of Richmond and Dustin Ambrose and his wife, Jennifer, of Staunton; three great-grandchildren, Alaysia, Alexa, and Jalen Henderson.

The family will receive friends at the home of Richard and Judy Ambrose.

The family request that memorial contributions may be made to the New Market Rescue Squad or the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are by the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.
