Hewasborn June1, 1935in Philadelphia, Pa.,a son of Frederick Jr. and IsobelEmily(Cramp)Pfisterer.
Hegrewupin SouthJersey, graduatingfrom HaddonfieldMemorialHighSchool in 1953andRutgersUniversityin 1957. He
taught6thgradeatHainesport ElementarySchoolforayear, wasdraftedintotheArmyin 1958andspent his tourof dutyat
Fort Monroe.Hethen lived in NewYorkCity, workingfortheMetropolitan MuseumofArt andtheMuseumofModern Art, and
laterlivedinRossway, NovaScotia.
In 1963hemovedtoStaunton andworked fortheStauntonLeaderasreporter, cityeditor, and, asFP, “FollowtheLeader”
columnist for33years, retiring in 1999.
Hewasthe last survivingmemberofhis immediatefamilyandissurvivedbyonenieceandfournephews.
Followingcremation, hisashes willbescatteredwiththoseofseveralofhis dogs.
Therewill beno serviceormemorial.
