John William Perry, 86, of Stanardsville, passed away on Tuesday January
31, 2023. Born on September 7th, 1936, the son of Simon and Ellen Perry,
whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Perry, and his children Gloria Mykich
(Jim) of Chesterfield, Janet Eicher (Marvin) of Ohio, Donald Shifflett (Fern)
of Dyke, Frank Shifflett (Peggy) of Stanardsville, Roy Shifflett (Crystal) of
Palmyra, Steve Shifflett (Debbie) of Charlottesville, and George Shifflett
(Lisa) of Dyke. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along
with a special grandson Andrew Mykich and devoted caregiver, Tiffany.
John retired from Centel/Sprint. A devoted husband, father, and
grandfather. He Loved Blue Grass music festivals and enjoyed gardening.
A service will be held at Ryan Funeral Home Chapel on Monday February
6, 2023 at 2:00pm with interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dyke,
Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday February 5, 2023 from 3-
5pm at the funeral home.
