Baha-Eddin Nateghi-Asli, 86, of Edinburg, VA, passed away on September 17, 2023. Born on February 13, 1937, in Tehran,
Iran, Baha-Eddin led a remarkable life filled with accomplishments and cherished memories.
Baha-Eddin had a distinguished career as a Diplomat to the Embassy of Iran in Washington, DC, from 1967 to 1980. He served
under Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran, until the Iranian Revolution in 1979. Following his diplomatic service, Baha-
Eddin managed the Charing Cross Restaurant in Washington, DC, and later the Village Bistro Restaurant in Arlington, VA.
Outside of his professional life, Baha-Eddin had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He had a green thumb and took great
pride in his gardening, especially tending to his beloved cactus and pumpkins. Baha-Eddin also enjoyed playing Roulette and
Backgammon on his IPad, caring for his cats, ducks, and chickens, and savoring his coffee in his own unique way.
Baha-Eddin will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his son Jonathan Nateghi-Asli, his brother
Allaeddin Nateghi-Asli, and his sister Mahin Nassarfar. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Nateghi-Asli, his father
Jalal Nateghi-Asli, and his mother Laya Nateghi-Asli.
Agraveside service will be held on Friday, September 29th, at 10 AM at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA. A
celebration of Baha-Eddin's life will take place on Sunday, October 1st, at 2:30 PM at the family home located at 2664
DellingerAcres Rd in Edinburg, VA.
