Philip Austin Morehouse, 95, of Rileyville, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022.
He was born on August 24, 1927, in Washington, D.C., and was a son of the late Donald W. Morehouse and Mary
Litherland Morehouse.
Philip was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Antioch Independent Bible Church in
Luray.
On July 4, 1955, he married Mary Morehouse, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters, Mary E. Beuchert, Catherine M. McAlister, Theresa Morehouse,
Susan King and Rebecca Kischter; two nephews, Ronnie and Larry Franz; a niece, June Franz; 15 grandchildren; 24
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Philip A. Morehouse Jr.;
and a sister, Mary Franz.
A memorial service with military honors will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, at the Antioch
Independent Bible Church.
