On January 20, 2023, Erma June (Hepner) Moomaw passed away. She was the beloved wife of
the late Galen Edwin Moomaw; devoted mother of Keith Edwin Moomaw; loving grandmother
of Lauren Moomaw Nail, Ryan Keith Moomaw, Jordan Robert Moomaw; cherished great
grandmother of Emma Rose Nail, Owen Alexander Nail; dear sister of the late Alice Shoemaker,
Lawrence Hepner, Beatrice Hepner, Francis Hepner, Vincent Hepner, James Hepner, Lindel
Hepner, Sheldon Spencer; loving aunt to Jack Spencer, Louise Kogut, Carrie Rhodes, Douglass
Hepner, and Joyce Johnson who are the last surviving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home (610 W. MacPhail Road,
Bel Air, MD, 21014) on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A
funeral service will occur at Fallston Presbyterian Church (600 Fallston Road, Fallston, MD
21047) on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM. On Thursday, January 26, 2023, family,
and friends are invited to gather at the Mt. Herman United Methodist Church (3821 Orkney
Grade, Mt. Jackson, VA 22842) from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at which time the funeral service will
begin. Interment in Mt. Herman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made
in Erma’s name to Mt. Hermon Cemetery Fund.
