CHURCHVILLE –Genevieve “Genny”(Lambert)Michael, 89, of 218 Hotchkiss Rd., died
Thursday (January 12, 2023)in AugustaHealth.
BornMay22, 1933 in Churchville, she was adaughter ofthe late JacobMonroeandNellie
(Armstrong)Lambert.
Genny was a1950 graduate ofChurchville HighSchool. OnJune 28, 1952 she marriedEarl
“Cricket” Michael, whoprecededher in deathonFebruary 14, 2012. She was along-time,
active member ofSt. James United MethodistChurchandthe ladies auxiliary ofthe
Churchville Volunteer FireDepartment andRescueSquad.Prior to retirement,she was
employed byGeneralElectric and Genicom.
Inadditiontoher parents andher husband, she wasprecededindeathbytwosisters,
Evelyn Morris and WilmaHalterman; andtwobrothers,RayandAllenLambert. Surviving
are a daughter, CarolClatterbaughand husbandBobof Staunton;a son, Gary Michaelof
Churchville; a sister, MaryHuffmanofChurchville; and numerous nieces andnephews.
A funeralservice willbe held11 a.m. Monday, January 16 inBear FuneralHome,officiated
by Pastors Lester KennedyandRalph Grow. Burialwillfollowin Green HillCemetery.
Active pallbearers willbe Rodger andTimmy Huffman, Steve Morris, RayLambert, Jr.,Doug
Harlow,Cary Branham, andBobbyMcManaway.Honorary pallbearers willbe members of
the Open Door Sunday schoolclass.
