Mr. Meadows was born on February 13, 1947, in Rockingham County and was a son of the late JamesAllen and Lelia Maude
(Wyant) Meadows. James retired from James Madison University after 35 years where he worked as a locksmith. He owned
and operated his own locksmithing businessA.S.P. Locksmithing. Mr. Meadows also co-owned a C.B. Radio Shop in Elkton
called “Rebel Yell”. James enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing and playing pool. Anyone who knew James would tell you he
was a jokester.
On November 24, 1987, he married the former TeresaAnn Diehl, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Meadows is survived by two daughters, Crystal “Sugar Plum” Yoder and husband, Jonathan of Port
Republic,Ashley “Lil Dumplin” Worley of Elkton; a granddaughter, Baylee “Baylee Bug” Turner; sister-in-law, GeorgiaAnna
Meadows; niece, Terrie Dean; and nephew, Robby Meadows.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bobby” Meadows.
Acelebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 7 p.m., at Ray of Hope Church Harrisonburg with
Pastors Randy Miller and Jimmy Kite officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m., at the church.
