Jocie L. McDonald

Jocie L. McDonald, 97, of Capon Bridge, W.Va., and formerly of Augusta, W.Va., died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. McDonald was born Oct. 28, 1906, in Baker, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Sam L. and Laura Garrett Miller.

She was head cook at Augusta Elementary School and also worked for Celanese Corporation. She was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Ray M. McDonald, preceded her in death Dec. 25, 1982.

She is survived by a daughter, Eunice McDonald Householder of Capon Bridge, W.Va.; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Vernon Bray will conduct the funeral 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at the Baker Run Cemetery in Baker, W.Va.
