On November 4, 2022 our beloved Tony Joseph (T.J.) Marusak, 64, passed away
suddenly at his home inAlbemarle County – a sad day for all who knew him.
Tony was a devoted husband, father, and friend who knew no
strangers. He was always there for anyone who needed him, and he
was always happy to help. Tony was the life of the party; a fun loving
comedian who kept everyone laughing. You couldn't help but love
being around him - he had a way of making people feel good and
reminding you that life should be fun. Tony was a humble man who
didn't ask for much but gave a lot.
Tony served his country in the United States Navy from 1975 to 1980
and later worked for the University of Virginia in Facilities Management
where he was respected and loved by many colleagues.
Some of Tony's favorite pastimes included riding Harleys with friends
and the love of his life, Debbie, hunting, fishing, or just spending time
with a cold beer and friends. Tony loved being with his family, his many
dear friends, and his beloved dog, Buddy.
