Louise O. Martz

Louise O’Roark Martz, 79, of 278 Gravels Road, Harrisonburg, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

She was born March 16, 1923, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Higgs O’Roark.

She was a member of the Mountain Valley United Methodist Church and had worked at Stheli Silk Mill in Harrisonburg.

On May 1, 1943, she married Frank E. Martz, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Dennis Martz of Harrisonburg; a sister, Alice Foltz of Broadway; two brothers, Alvin O’Roark of Mount Sidney and Robert Glen O’Roark of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The Revs. A.D. Tice and Dr. Patricia M. Meadows will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Mountain Valley United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
