Lois E. Marshall, 74


Lois Evelyn Miller Marshall, 74, of 1601 Gables Road in Fairmont, W.Va., died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Mrs. Marshal was born March 22, 1932, in Centerville, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Marie Good Miller.

She graduated from Bethesda School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a registered nurse at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va. from 1958-1965 and was at Fairmont General Hospital for over 29 years.

Mrs. Marshall was a member of the American Operating Room Nurses’ Association and served on the Board of the Southeastern Surgical Association.

Survivors include her husband, W. Glenn Marshall; a son, Charles G. Marshall of Poca, W.Va.; two daughters, Marcia Turner of Sterling, and Sonya Jones of Fairmont, W.Va.; a brother, Gene Miller of New Lebanon, Ohio; a stepbrother, Ray Miller of Ohio; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road in Fairmont from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today and at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

The Rev. Ann W. Harrison will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Friday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lahmansville Cemetery in Lahmansville, W.Va.
