Nelleta R. Markwood, 78


Nelleta Reel Markwood, 78, of Baltimore, Md., and formerly of Dorcas, W.Va., died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Mrs. Markwood was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Petersburg, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Eston Reel and Lena Riggleman Reel.

She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1946.

Her husband, Otha A. Markwood, preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2002.

Survivors include five sons, Robert Gregory Markwood, Randall Gary Markwood and Roger Dale Markwood, all of Arbutus, Md., Ronald Gene Markwood of Manchester, Md., and Rodney Dean Markwood of Fallston, Md.; a daughter, Regina Elaine Markwood of Arbutus, Md.; two stepdaughters, Corena M. Harman of Gettysburg, Pa., and Karen M. Fisher of Moorefield, W.Va.; two brothers, Darl Reel of Dorcas, W.Va. and Claude Reel of Petersburg, W.Va.; three grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren and seven stepgreat grandchildren.

The Rev. Stanley Kile will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, W.Va.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
