Douglas (Doug) E.Lindamood, Sr.Passed away at his home in Ridgeway,VA the evening of Oct. 31, 2023 after a
courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 2, 1944 to Cletus R and Bertha Collins Lindamood, he attended Triplett Elementary, Central High School
and Lord Fairfax Community College.
His career included time as a Deputy Sheriff for Shenandoah County,Officer for the Woodstock town police and
many years as a management consultant in the Poultry Industry.
Doug is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Ellen Diane Irby Lindamood, sons Doug Jr. Of Roanoke,VA, Sam
Lindamood of Martinsville,VA, Tyler Byrne of Edinburg,VA, honorary son and neighbor Paul Cockram of Ridgeway,
VA and many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life will be held 11 AM, Saturday November 11th at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren in Mt.
Jackson VA
