Brenda H. Lightner

Brenda Hull Lightner, 48, of Monterey, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 14, 1953, in Warm Springs and was a daughter of Matlin T. and Fay C. (Lindsay) Hull.

Mrs. Lightner was co-owner of Ernie’s Market in Monterey for 29 years. She was president of the Highland County Livestock 4-H Club.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest H. Lightner Jr. of Monterey; her parents, Matlin and Fay Hull of Monterey; two daughters, Christina Marie Lightner of Waynesboro and Melissa Dawn Lightner of Franklin, W.Va.; two sons, Ernest H. "Tray" Lightner III of Crested Butte, Colo., and Matlin Tyler "Matt" Lightner of the home; a brother, Thomas Ira Hull of Hightown; a sister, Terry Lynn Rexrode of Monterey; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, May 26, at 2 p.m., at the residence.

The family will receive friends anytime at the home.
