Wilbre “Earl” Leary, beloved husband of Kristine Tuckerman, passed away Sept. 7, 2023, at Sentara RMH Medical Center after a
short battle with cancer.
Earl was born May 6, 1945, in Chicod Township, N.C. to the late Wilbre and Carrie Leary. He was raised in Washington, D.C.
and graduated from Eastern High School in 1964. Earl pursued a career in electro-mechanics and worked for several electronics
companies in the Washington Metro area. After retiring, Earl and his wife moved to Harrisonburg, Va. to enjoy the peace and
beauty of the Shenandoah Valley.
In addition to his companion and wife of 46 years, he is survived by his children, Tonya Burns of Oxen Hill, Md., Erroll K. Leary
of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Kimberly E. Leary-Gilchrist of Clinton, Md. and David M. Leary of Washington, D.C. He also leaves
behind nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren
