Lottie L. Lawson, 92


Lottie Lee Baugher Lawson, 92, of Elkton, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at her home.

Mrs. Lawson was born July 20, 1913 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Lloyd Lee and Rebecca Jane Powell Baugher.

She lived her entire life in the Elkton-Rockingham County area and was a homemaker.

On Jan. 31, 1942 she married Floyd E. Lawson; he preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1997.

Surviving are two daughters, G. Jean Lawson and Patsy Meadows; two sons, Kenneth Lee Lawson and F. Wayne Lawson, all of Elkton; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Pastor Ray Berry will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel of the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkton Rescue Squad or Fire Department.
