Doris Trout Lamb, 101, of Ruckersville, Virginia passed away at her home
January 30, 2023. She was born October 12, 1921 in Washington DC, and
was the daughter of the late James Chesley Trout and Susie Virginia
Shumate Trout.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Linwood Angus Lamb; and her son, Linwood Wayne Lamb. She is
survived by her daughter, Louise Adkison of Ruckersville; brothers in-law,
George Lamb and Graydon Lamb; Nieces, Barbara Stone and Nancy
Sykes; grandchildren, Bruce, Lisa, Mike, Susan, Logan Megan and Kaitlin;
great-grandchildren, Alex, Brooke, Grace, Knox, Zeke, Zack, Cassie; and
two great- great grandchildren.
A service will be held at Stanardsville Baptist church at 11:00 am
Thursday, February 2, 2023, conducted by Pastor Josh Shifflett, with
internment to follow at Stanardsville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
George and Connie Lamb and family would like to thank Dr. Bostic and
the entire staff of Medi Hospice. Doris’s life was made so much more
enjoyable because of the care and loving kindness you showed her. We
will always be indebted to every one of you. Doris loved you so much and
looked forward to your visits.
