Randall Mike Kennedy Sr., 87, of Woodstock, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Winchester
Medical Center. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 4 from 2-4 at the Edinburg
Volunteer Fire Department. Burial will be private at the Kennedy Cemetery, beside his wife and
son.
Mr. Kennedy was born April 6, 1935, in Lawrenceburg, TN, son of the late Robert Daniel Kennedy
and Willie Mae Brown Kennedy. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State and
owned Kennedy Konstruction Kompany, Inc., for 54 years. He was preceded in death by his
childhood sweetheart and wife, Martha Anne Mathis Kennedy; son, Randall “Bubba” M. Kennedy
Jr.; sister, Tiny Moyers and his brother-in-law Rev. Richard Moyers; brother, David Kennedy; and his
sister-in-law, Jan Mathis Clifton.
He is survived by his children, Randa Anne Kennedy (Lester Wetzel) of Edinburg, Katrina Karoline
Stroop (Doug) of Woodstock, and Bret Mathis Kennedy (Cathy) of NC; daughter-in-law, Abbe
Kennedy of Woodstock; grandchildren, Bethany Mercer, Gregory Mercer (Katie), Francie Martonik
(Dan), Randall M. Kennedy III (Lauren), Kelsey Kline (Matt), Kolter Stroop (Ashlee), Kaleb Stroop
(Samantha), Kayten Stroop (Shawn), Boomer Kennedy (Lindsey), Goosie Kennedy (Darby), Kyle
Kennedy, and Carlin Ellis (Matthew); great grandchildren, Aiden, Cade, Evan, Isaac, Tristan, Oliver,
Mathis, Randall IV, Trivett, Adelynn, Kessley, Ellison, Whitlee, Emerson, Eli, Annabelle, Knox and
Levi. He is also survived by his sister, Nelda Tilley and her husband, Lester, of TN; and his brother-
in- law, Bob Clifton of TN.
