Ellen B. Kauffman

Ellen B. Kauffman, 81, of Oak Lea Nursing Home, Harrisonburg, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Miss Kauffman was born Sept. 23, 1922, in Montana and was the daughter of the late Isaiah and Stella Kauffman.

She was a schoolteacher for 30 years, teaching in various schools both public and private. She also taught Sunday school and Bible school. She did secretarial work and assisted in publishing "Guidelines for Today" and "Sword and Trumpet." During her lifetime, she lived in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

She was a charter member of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship and was a graduate of Eastern Mennonite College.

She is survived by several cousins.

She donated her body to science.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
