Gayle F. Jones

Gayle Mozelle Fisher Jones, age 61, of 721 Copp Road, Strasburg, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg with the Rev. Dan Locke officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg.

Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Austin Isaac and Lena Yates Fisher. She was employed by the Frederick County School System and attended Emmanuel Evangelical & Reform Church of Fishers Hill. She was a member of Mount Hebron Ladies Aid, enjoyed working with children at church and in the community and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a special friend to all who knew her.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence W. Jones Jr.; her daughter, Angela J. Crawford and husband, William, of Front Royal; her son, Keith W. Jones of Strasburg; and two beloved granddaughters, Emily Grace and Christina Gayle Crawford.

Pallbearers will be Russ Hayes, Mark Esteppe, Greg Jones, Larry Laing, Dwight Yates and Ronnie Beeler.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will meet there at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
