Paul D. Jackson, 33


Paul Dijon "Fu" Jackson, 33, of Harrisonburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Jackson was born March 7, 1973, in Newark, N.J., and was the son of Ashby Monroe Jackson Sr. of Harrisonburg and Olivia Sampson Jackson of Raleigh, N.C.

He graduated from West Side High School in Newark, N.J., in 1990. He worked in Massanutten Village for Neil Hensley Construction as a carpenter. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisonburg and played basketball on various leagues.

On Sept. 18, 2004, he married Carol Cubbage Jackson; she survives in Harrisonburg.

Surviving besides his wife and parents are two sons, Tyhiem McFadden and C.J. Butler, both of Harrisonburg; two daughters, Dyzhanae Jackson of Newark, N.J., and Tykia Venable of Harrisonburg; a brother, Ashby M. Jackson Jr. of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Anitra Jackson and Dionne Jackson, both of Raleigh, N.C., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dr. Clarence Williams will conduct the funeral 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg. Burial will be in the Newtown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service Sunday at the funeral home.
