Virginia “Sis” Noel Hollins passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 9:19 p.m. at her residence in
Richmond. She was 93.
Virginia was born on October 11, 1930 to Clarence Peyton Noel andAlice Milhado Noel. She was their youngest child
and only daughter. Her two brothers, Clarence Peyton Noel, Jr. and Edward “Pete” Noel preceded her in death.
Virginia was raised in the Town of Mineral, graduated from Madison College in Harrisonburg (now James Madison
University) and taught physical and driver’s education for many years in the Henrico School System until her retirement.
She is survived by nieces, Myra Noel Pekary of Charlottesville, Barbara Noel Eldridge of Fredericksburg, and Deborah
Noel Towle of Sanford, N.C.
