Darlene Frances (Hodge) Hise, 70, of Hot Springs passed away, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Bath Community Hospital.
She was born in Bath County, April 9, 1952, a daughter of the late James Henry Marshall and Elizabeth (Jacobs) Hodge.
Ahomemaker, Mrs. Hise also babysat for countless parents, worked 13 years at The Homestead, as well as at The Springs
Nursing Center. She was a member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church.
She enjoyed attending family reunion, traveling and visiting friends. She loved children and found great joy in being involved
and caring for the children of the community.Above all, she was a “great loving wife” to her husband for 54 years.
She is survived by her husband, Burley Elzy Hise of Hot Springs; daughter, Darla Hise of Hot Springs; grandson, Benjamin
“Ben” Elzy Hise; brothers, David Hodge and wife Ida and Joseph Hodge, all of Hot Springs; sister, Betty Ryder of Warm
Springs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Abigail Grace Hise; and sister, Ellen Purvis.
Amemorial service will be announced and held at a later day.
