Grace Leota (Bickel) Hinkle, 90, widow of Johnnie Jennings Hinkle, of Verona, passed away on Saturday, October
8, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Hinkle was born in Kirkersville, Ohio on March 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Lester Danard Bickel and
Ruth Leota (Hamby) Bickel.
Grace was a member of Staunton Apostolic Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and baking.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hinkle was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Elizabeth (Hinkle)
Jones; and a brother, Paul Bickel.
Surviving, is a daughter, Deborah R. Lockhart of Verona; and three grandchildren, Jason Lockhart and his fiancée,
Shannon, Eric Lockhart and his wife, Susan, and Derek Marshall.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel
by Pastor Michael Eastman. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Middle River Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jason Lockhart, Eric Lockhart, Derek Marshall, Scott Hallberg, Charlie Hallberg, and
Steve Lockhart.

Avenue, Staunton, VA 24401.
