Branch A. Hensley, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
He was born March 12, 1935 in Campbell County, VA, to Branch, Sr. and Marie (Canada) Hensley, who preceded him.
Branch is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lola B. Hensley. He is survived by son Randy Hensley of Waynesboro, Virginia, son
Clinton Hensley and wife Danette, and a grandson, Dylan, of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Branch is also survived by a sister Carolyn Lilly, and her husband Jerry, of Fishersville, Virginia, a nephew Shane Lilly of
Fishersville, Virginia, and two nieces, Shannon Holland of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Kristen Burke of Morristown, Tennessee.
Branch loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved his family and his country. After attending Hargrave Military Academy
and graduating from Waynesboro High School, Branch proudly served a tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps. Branch
was also a member of Wayne Hills Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and usher. Branch enjoyed deer hunting,
NASCAR, and coaching Little League Baseball.
Branch, affectionately known to many as Mr. Branch, will be remembered as being a driver for Hathaway Solutions for 34 years.
Branch enjoyed his time at Hathaway and loved his employer, fellow employees, and customers. He worked until he was 80
years old. Branch’s enthusiasm and strong work ethic will live on in all who knew him.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 PM until 7 PM at McDow Funeral Home, 1701 W. Main Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
A service will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM atWayne Hills Baptist Church, 877 Ladd Road, Waynesboro, VA
22980, conducted by Pastor Jamie McClanahan, and Dennis Westover. A graveside service will follow at Augusta Memorial Park,
1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, VA 22980. It is kindly asked that those attending his services please dress casually.
Active pallbearers will be Barry Hevener, Corey Marshall, David Browning, Mike Coffey, Barry Bryant, and Randy Hensley.
