BrittanyAnn Helmick, 33, of Waynesboro passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 22, 2023 at her home.
Brittany was born in Staunton to Angela D Griffin and David AHelmick Jr. on September 2nd, 1990. She graduated from
Rockbridge County High School in Lexington. Brittany will be remembered for her deep and dedicated love of her family and
her many friends. She enjoyed cooking, and loved to travel with her boyfriend and children, especially to the beach.
Brittany is preceded in death by two grandparents, and her father, David.
Brittany is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Matt Thomas of Waynesboro; their two beloved children, Alexis and Kali
Thomas; her mother, Angie Griffin of Buena Vista; sister Codi Lynn Helmick; and her paternal grandfather, David Helmick Sr.
She is also survived by her uncle and aunt, Tony and Tracy Helmick; aunt, Gloria Back; cousins Nikole Basch, Trinity, Jaden
and Lucas; as well as her special friend, Nicole Wilhelm and numerous other friends. Last but not least, Brittany is survived by
her K-9 sidekick, Fuzzy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28th, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Waynesboro Chapel of
Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
