Ashley was born in Staunton, Virginia on April 25, 1987, a daughter of Christopher Scott Kyger and Sheila Dawn
(Buchanan) Kyger.
Ashley was a member of Irish Creek Pentecostal Church and was a self-employed housekeeper. She was outgoing,
enjoyed life to the fullest, and was the life of the party.
Ms. Harris was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Sidney Kyger, Sr.
Surviving, in addition to her parents of Steeles Tavern, is a son, Waylon Harris and his fiancée, Elizabeth Filion of
Staunton; a daughter, Payton Harris of Greenville; a granddaughter, Aliya Harris; maternal grandparents, Russell and
Doris Buchanan of Brownsburg; paternal grandmother, Marsha Humphrey and her husband, Ray of Ohio; paternal
step-grandmother, Vickie Kyger of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Hailey Dzuba and her husband, Rob, Jr. of Verona; a half-
sister, Raven Groah of Lexington; and two nieces, Everly Dzuba and Spencer Groah.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home
and Crematory.
Funeral services will be private.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St.
Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
