Phyllis passed away on January 14th, 2023 at Birch Gardens Assisted Living
where she had been living for six and a half years.
She was born in Waynesboro, the daughter of Thomas and Pauline Forbus.
A graduate of Waynesboro High School, she was a secretary at Ladd
Elementary School for many years. During that time, she became a hospice
volunteer, ultimately retiring from the school system and obtaining a RN
degree at age 50. She worked the remainder of her career with Augusta
Health.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was pre-deceased by her husband Charles,
her daughter Theresa “Tee” Snead, and sister, Faye Bowie.
Surviving are her sons; Jeff (Suzanne) of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, Tom
(Susan} of Austell, Georgia and numerous grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
