Ralph B.Haines, 88,of Fishersville and formerly of Waynesboro,went to be with the Lord on Tuesday,October 4,
2022 at Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born in Loudoun County,VA on December 29,1933, son of the late
Ashby B. Haines and Gertie F. Haines.
Ralph, a heavy equipment mechanic, retired in 1996 after 41 years of service. He was a U. S.Army veteran. He was a
member of Wayne Hills Baptist Church and for two years volunteered with the Edward Avenue Baptist Church Food
Pantry.He loved puzzles and enjoyed music, singing and playing the guitar in his younger years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Mark Haines and his great-grandson,
Michael Haines.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty A. Haines; his daughter,Sherrie English and husband, Joe of
Waynesboro; his son,Bill Haines of Waynesboro; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m.,Tuesday,October 11, 2022 in the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home
Chapel, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, conducted by Dr. Jamie McClanahan and Pastor Gary May.The family will
receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
